Blind Spot

jr_lavoie A true fusion of the Blues and Country music, well done. Mt Everest has a nice lick (I have an affinity for songs with the tremolo effect for some reason) and an interesting comparison lyric. Your Sin is the closest to pure Blues, but the pedal steel adds so much to the feeling of the song. Great drum rhythm on Murder Ballad. More for Blues fans that also like Country, rather than Country fans that occasionally get the Blues. Favorite track: Let Them Laugh.

about

We recorded the old way; in complete takes, live-off-the-floor, without any Pro Tools magic. On June 5 2013, using only six microphones, Bob captured multiple takes of these songs. He then chose the performances he deemed most worthy to mix and master for the final album. For better or worse, it captures one day of performance & recording at The Playhouse Theatre, a former one-room Mennonite school-house in St. Jacobs Ontario.
